凡事皆可能 傻子也能学好英语口语

俗话说，什么事情都是有可能的–Everything is possible. 不过有些事情发生的可能性大，比如火车晚点；有些事情发生的可能性极小，比如，同哈里王子恋爱结婚；还有些事几乎是不可能发生的，比如，让时间倒流，回到童年。我们一起来看看日常对话里经常出现的表示“可能”的英语表达。

情景对话1：
Peter:What's your plan for the long weekend?
公休假长周末你打算干什么？ 
Lily:I may go to Spain to see my cousin. She lives near the sea. We'll probably go to the beach.
我可能去西班牙看我表妹。她住在海边，我们俩可能一起去沙滩玩儿。
Peter:That's nice. I wish I could do that too,but I have a dog to look after so it's not possible for me to leave him behind.
真好。我也特希望去海边。不过我要在家照看我的狗，不可能把它丢在家里。
Lily:Can't you leave him with your neighbour for a few days?
你不能让你的邻居帮忙看几天吗？
Peter:Probably not, because they don't like animals.
恐怕不行，他们不喜欢动物。
Lily:That's a shame. I love dogs.You can ask me to dog-sit next time you need to go away.
那太遗憾了。我可爱狗呢，下次你需要出门，找我帮你看狗。
Peter:Thanks, I will. Enjoy your holiday.

表示“可能”的几个近义词用法提示: 
以上出现的几个表示可能性的词语有may，probably，possible。其中may 带有某人主观可能意愿的色彩；possible表示客观上潜在的可能性，也许实际发生的可能性并不大；probably 表示有几分根据的推测，比possible表示的可能性大。


情景对话 2：
Lihua:Do you think the weather willbe good this weekend?
你觉得这个周末天气会好吗？
Paul:I heard it might rain.
我听说可能要下雨。
Lihua: Oh. That’s a pity. I thoughtthat we might go hiking in the hills.
哦，真可惜。我本来想咱们可以去山上散步的。
Paul:Mmm. Well, we could go tothat new art gallery instead?

Maybe 的用法：
注意：“maybe”是个副词，意思是“也许、可能”。书写的时候不要把may和be分开。
