一、语法大全讲解Prepositions ofTime

1、at; on;in

at表示表示“钟点”、“一天中的时间点”、“节假日，即节假日这几天”。

on表示“在具体某一天或某天的上、下午”。

in表示“在某世纪、年份、季度、月份”以及泛指的上、下午、晚上。

at one o’clock; atnoon；atnight；atChristmas在圣诞节期间。

on March 8; onMonday；on the morning of May1；on a rainymorning 在一个下雨的早晨

in the 20thcentury；in1999；inwinter；inSeptember；in themorning/afternoon/evening

2、for; since;during

for后接“一段时间”，表示某事持续多久，多与完成时连用。

since表示“自从……以来，后接时间点”。

during表示“在……期间”

She has been ill for severaldays. 她已经病了几天了。

I have lived here sinceJanuary. 自一月份以来, 我一直住在这里。

Where shall you go during thesummer? 今年夏天你将到什么地方去?

3、before;by

before指“在……之前”，与after相对。

by指“到…之前；不迟于”。（by后接过去时间，常与过去完成时连用；by后接将来时间，常与将来完成时连用。）

We got up beforesunrise. 我们在太阳升起之前起床。

We had learned over 2000 wordsby the end of last term.

到上学期末为止，我们已经学了两千多个单词了。

We will have learned 2000English words by the end of this term.

到本学期结束前，我们将学了两千英语单词了。

4、after;in

after与in都可表示“在……之后”，但after后可跟时间段，也可跟时间点；而in后必须跟时间段。after既可用于将来时，也可用于过去时，而in只能用于将来时。

He got a cancer and died aftera year. 他患了癌症，一年后去世了。

The meeting will end after3:00 pm. 会议将在下午三点后结束。

I’ll arrive in anhour. 我一小时后到达。

5、from(to);until(till)

from表示“时间的起点”，可译作“从……”，多用于“from…to/till…”中。

till (until)“直到……为止”。在肯定句中，till/until必须与延续动词连用；在否定句中，till/until常与非延续性动词连用。

You can come anytime fromMonday to Friday. 周一至周五你什么时间来都行。

You must wait for him tilltomorrow. 你必须一直等到他明天。

We can not move in until nextmonth. 我们直到下个月才能搬进去。

二、语法大全讲解Prepositions ofPlace

1、on; above;over ；beneath; below;under

on英语大全中表示“在……上面”，表面相互接触，与beneath相反。

above表示“在……侧上方”，与below相对。

over表示“在……正上方，表面不接触”，与under相对。

语法大全例句：A book is on thedesk.有本书在桌上。

The Greens live aboveus. 格林一家人住在我们的上面。

There is a lamp over thetable. 桌子正上方有一盏灯。

The earth lay beneath ablanket of snow.大地被厚厚的白雪覆盖。

Her skirt reaches just belowher knees. 她的裙子刚到膝盖下。

There is a dog under thedesk. 有一只狗在书桌的下面。

2、between；among

between在……之间（指二者）。

among在……之间（指多者）。among语法大全中表明其后往往接笼统的人和事物，若需接具体的人或数目时，即使是指多者，也用between，此时一般有and连接，可理解为多者中任何两者之间。

语法大全例句：They hid themselves among thetrees. 他们躲在树林中。

There was a fight between thetwo boys. 这两个孩子打过一次架。

Switzerland lies betweenFrance, Germany, Austria and Italy. 瑞士位于法国、德国、奥地利和意大利之间。

3、in;at

at指较小的地方，如车站、家等。

in多指在较大地方，如国家、城市、大洲等。

语法大全例句：Please wait for me at the busstation. 请在公共汽车站等我。

The plane will arrive inBeijing at 13:00. 飞机将于13点到达北京。

4、near, by,beside；around

near表示“在……附近”。

by =beside, 表示“靠近，在……旁边”，比near距离更近。

around表示“在……周围，围绕”。

语法大全句：My home is near theschool. 我家离学校很近。

He just sat by/ beside me inthe cinema. 在电影院他就坐在我旁边。

There are many trees aroundthe village. 村子周围有很多树围绕。

5、in front of,behind,

in frontof表示“在……前面”，比较：in the frontof表示“在……前部”。

behind表示“在……后面”。

语法大全例子：There is a tall tree in frontof our classroom. 我们教室前面有一棵高树。　　　　　

There is a red chair in thefront of the room. 在房间前部有把红椅子。

A high building stands behindthe village. 村子后面有一高层建筑。

6、to, in,on

in表示A地在B地范围之内。to表示A地在B地范围之外，即二者之间有距离间隔。on表示A地与B地接壤、毗邻。

语法大全例句学起来：Beijing is in the north ofChina. 北京在中国的北部。

Korea is on the northeast ofChina. 朝鲜在中国的东北面。

Japan is to the east ofChina. 日本位于中国的东边。

7、across,through，over

across表示“横穿”某一平面，或“横过”某一线形物。

through指从某物的内部“穿过”。

over指“越过”某一障碍物。

The two friends were walkingthrough the forest. 这两个朋友正走过森林。

Instead of opening the gate,we climbed over it. 我们没有开门, 而是从门顶上爬过去的。

8、into; in; out of;outside

into“进入”由外进入到里面，是动态的；而in“在……里面”，是指静态的位置。

out of“从……出来”，是动态的；而outside“在……外面”是指静态的位置。

There are many people in theroom. 在房间里有许多人。

They pulled him out of thewater. 他们把他从水里拉了出来。

They stood outside thedoor. 他们站在门外。

9、along,across

along表示“沿着”街、路、河岸等。

across表示“在…对面[另一边”。

There's a hotel across theroad. 路的另一边有一家旅馆。

There are many beautifulflowers along the street. 沿街有着许多美丽的花。
