在西方的大小城镇中，出租车随处可见。要乘出租车，下面的这些基础词汇是必备的。

1、Jam n./v.拥挤，阻塞
We should be able to make it unless we get caught in a traffic jam or something.
我们应该来得及，除非遇到塞车或发生什么事。

2、block n.大块：街区； v.阻碍
The road is blocked．
道路塞车了。

3、meter n.计量器，计程表
I'm not sure, but whatever it is,it'll show you on the meter．

4、kilometer n.几千米，公里
