　　Marilyn以为Richard的摄影作品已经准备得很充分了。在她的鼓励下，Richard决定去见出版商。

　　Marilyn: So, what do you think you're going to do?

　　Richard: Does the name Harvey Carlson ring a bell?

　　Marilyn: Oh, yes! Harvey Carlson! I remember.

　　Richard: He said I should call him. He's the publisher of the Carlson Publishing Company. He said they need a new book of photographs, and he really liked my concept.

　　Marilyn: So, why don't you call him in the morning?

　　Richard: Do you think I have enough to show him?

　　Marilyn: I've been through every section with you, Richard. It's quite complete. And now that you're satisfied with the performing arts section, I think you should show it to Mr. Carlson.

　　Richard: You're right. My Family Album, U.S.A. feels right. I'll call in the morning and set up an appointment to see him.

　　Marilyn: He's going to love your work. Come on. Let's get some sleep.

　　1. Does the name Harvey Carlson ring a bell?

　　你对 Harvey Carlson这个名字有印象吗？

　　ring a bell: 这是很形象化的说法，但很常用，指一提到某人或某地的名字，脑中仿佛敲响了一声钟，使人想起来了。

　　2. He said they need a new book of photographs, and he really liked my concept.

　　他说过他们需要一本新的影集，还说他确实喜好我的构思。

　　concept: 主张，思维，观点。

　　3. I've been through every section with you, Richard. It's quite complete. And now that you're satisfied with the performing arts section, I think you should show it to Mr. Carlson.

　　我已经跟你一起审阅过每一局部了，Richard。它已经相称齐备了，当初你既然对表演艺术这一部分觉得满足，我认为你可能把全书拿给Carlson先生看了。

　　be through: 表示“读过，看过，经历过，检查或回忆过”等。又例如，“They've been through thick and thin together.”（他们共历了艰难困苦。）

　　be satisfied with something: 对某事感到满意

　　section: 部分。在这里相称于“part”。

　　now that: 连词，表现“既然”。又例如英语口语的训练句式，“Now that everyone is here, we'll get down to business.”（当初既然人已经到全了，让咱们开始谈正事吧。）

　　4. You're right. My Family Album, U.S.A. feels right. I'll call in the morning and set up an appointment to see him.

　　你说得对，《走遍美国》这本书现在的样子看来已经能够了。我明天将来早上给他打电话部署同他会面。

　　My Family Album, U.S.A. feels right. : 我感到《走遍美国》这本书已经不错了。书是不会有感到的，这里的feel表示某事物作用于人的感到，但不用被动而用自动语态。

　　set up an appointment: 安排约会，会见。相称于“to arrange an appointment”。
